Re-Cognition offers a variety of therapies. Each treatment is individually tailored to the requirements of the client. A plan of action / timetable will be drawn up. In your consultation we discuss goals and targets and what you want to acheive through the therapy. We can then talk about the various options available to you and put together a plan using the following therapies.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy utilises hypnosis, a natural state of heightened awareness, in which you are able to open your mind to beneficial suggestions and make use of your imagination to help make positive changes in your life. When hypnotized, you're more open than usual to suggestions and this can be used to change your behaviour and thereby improve your health and well-being.
Counselling
Counselling is a talking therapy that helps a person see their problems more clearly and concisely and enables them to take control by seeing things more clearly, possibly from a different perspective. Counselling is a way of enabling choice or change or of reducing confusion. Our counselling services employ a variety of tools.
Neurolinguistic
Programming (NLP)
NLP is a set of insights and skills with which you can actively use your mind and your emotions and your body to run your own life more successfully and to communicate with other people with extraordinary effectiveness. NLP is a bit like an 'owners manual' for your brain and has been described as the technology of the mind, the science of achievement and the study of success.
Multi-Cultural Counselling
This therapy recognises the importance of many variables within modern society such as ethnicity, nationality, religion and language, as well as other important variables. MCT takes a holistic and intuitive approach to working with difference and respects that each person has many different cultures or identities with each identity becoming relevant at different times and places.
